Saptapadi for us is the meeting of the minds.Being part of Saptapadi from 2021, my husband & me,discovered what a true social interactive life means - meeting people, speaking different languages, of different cultures, of diverse bents of mind. Seeing Saptapadi grow has been akin to blooming of a flower within for me still growing. The Durga Puja (unlike other pujas all over) is a potpourri of ideas, thoughts and sparks woven together seemlessly in an unbelievably smooth & vibrant way.
Saptapadi — the very word strikes a chord, bringing with it the essence of pure Bengali tradition and culture right here in Pune. From the vibrant Navratri vibes to the bustling food stalls, from soulful cultural evenings to the spirited Sindoor Khela, the festival creates a mini Bengal in the city, and the atmosphere is truly electrifying. But Saptapadi is more than just a celebration — it is a community with a heart. Beyond the festivities, it has been instrumental in giving back to society through various donation drives and social initiatives throughout the year, carrying forward the true spirit of togetherness and service.

A Home Away from Home: My Journey with Saptapadi- Joining the Saptapadi Cultural and Sports Association in Pune has been one of the most fulfilling decisions of my life. What first drew me in was the association’s passionate commitment to keeping Bengali culture alive and vibrant—even miles away from West Bengal. From the grandeur of Durga Puja to the serene beauty of Laxmi Puja and the joyous celebration of Poila Boishakh, every event is a heartfelt tribute to our roots. Before becoming a member, I had attended Saptapadi’s Durga Puja celebrations twice. Each time, I was deeply moved by the warmth, energy, and sense of belonging that radiated from the group. The day I officially joined felt like coming home. What truly sets Saptapadi apart is its spirit. There are no hidden agendas, no divisions—only pure dedication to togetherness, cultural pride, and the betterment of the community. It’s a rare and beautiful quality that makes me feel incredibly blessed to be part of this family.
